Blackdown Tableland National Park
i spent one week in this beautiful national park east of rockhampton, north queensland, camping out in the wild with tieran.
tieran at the "trainstation" (=the metal steps) of the little town called "dingo".
the national park was closed so we volunteered to do some work (building footpaths).
it was fun to work in nature and we got this fabulous neon techno gear!
typical australian forest with a lot of burned trees from bushfires. the trees adapt to the fires with a special multi layered bark.
balanced rock.
aboriginal art site.
it was rather dry at this time of year, so there was no water in the waterfalls. and no water to wash my face
a hairy caterpillar.
steep dropoffs.
these trees grow from everywhere!
the last picture from my cam, it broke afterwards
the rainbowfall, also without flowing water but with a quiet little lake with great reflections.
"my" place at a big stone plateau.
and my stonekitchen at its best.
the view from the plateau.
and our dirty feet.
