Haridwar

haridwar is a very important hindu pilgimage city. many hindus from all over india come here to perform rituals and bath in the ganges...

...and spirituality mixes with bathing fun and action.

we had a swim in the holy waters too - in a heat of 40 degrees it's a very welcome refreshment.

a "sadhu", a holy man who gave up his worldy life in order live an ascetic spiritual life (and smoke chillums).
