"nylon" was the distribution for the MeshCube. it is based on openembedded and it's now a bit more than 2 years old.
therefore it was subject to some "bit rot" and version 1.0 didn't compile under recent systems any more. i just spent some time making nylon compile on newer platforms like current debian testing and gentoo. please try http://br1.einfach.org/nylon/stable/nylon-build-stable-1.1.tar.gz

News 4.6.2009: Martin Dietze is working on nylon again, inside the openembedded repository. He said the current version is build- and usable again!

The "nylon" Linux Distribution
nylon is name of the new linux distribution for the Cube. nylon is based on and fully integrated within the OpenEmbedded project. OpenEmbedded is a build system for embedded devices (small linux systems) which makes cross-compiling quite easy. nylon is actually a subset of OpenEmbedded packages which we maintain and support as the distribution for the MeshCube.
See PackageInfo for a list of all software packages which are part of the nylon distribution.
Installing nylon
You can download filesystem images and from the DownLoad section. See InstallingImages on how to install the images. The easiest method is described in InstallImage.
If you want to compile nylon for yourself, see NylonBuild. It describes how to download the nylon build files and start the build process.
